CO2 DI Resin Depletion Calculator
* Special thanks to Boomer from
www.reefcentral.com
for his help.
This calculator estimates how much of a deionization (DI) resin is being depleted by carbon-dioxide (CO2) alone. All four input parameters should be measured on the water entering the DI resin (usually the water leaving the RO filter).
Alkalinity:
Milliequivalents (meq/L)
Carbonate Hardness (dKH)
Parts-Per-Million (ppm)
pH:
pH Units
Temperature:
Fahrenheit
Celsius/Centigrade
Kelvin
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS):
Parts-Per-Million
Depletion by CO2:
%
This calculator assumes that the DI filter is successfully producing water with zero total dissolved solids (TDS).
