This calculator estimates the combined effect, or "effective" water change, that results from several
smaller water changes. Consider, for example, a system where 25% of the water is changed every week.
At the end of the month, roughly only 70% of the original water will have been removed rather than
100%.
This calculator can also be used to estimate the effective water change amount of a continuous water
change regimen. Simply enter the amount of water changed over one second as the amount of water
changed every second for a reasonable approximation.
