Marine CO2 Level Calculator

* Special thanks to Boomer from www.reefcentral.com for his help.

This calculator estimates the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in a marine (saltwater) aquarium given a few relevant parameters. Note that there are some 15-20 different approaches to performing this calculation and most of them agree to within a tenth of a part-per-million. The approach used by this calculator is taken from Millero, 2002.

* Carbonate alkalinity can be determined by subtracting borate alkalinity from the total alkalinity. If you cannot determine your borate alkalinity, you can report your total alkalinity here but the results will not be as accurate.
