This calculator estimates the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in a freshwater aquarium given a few
relevant parameters. Note that there are a multitude of approaches to performing this calculation that vary significantly
in complexity and accuracy. The approach recommended by this calculator is
Millero, 2002. However,
Hopea, 1992 and Tucker, 1984 (as presented in Table 2 of
Wurt, 1992)
are also presented as options as they are so commonly used in the aquarium hobby.
