Yellow Ribbon Gorgonian (Pterogorgia citrina)

Even though I removed and sold this gorgonian a few months ago, a couple of polyps have emerged around the area where it used to be.

I removed and sold this gorgonian. It was showing great polyp extension, but slowly starting to die. Tissue necrosis began at the base and was slowly climbing over the weeks.

I have kept only two specimens of this gorgonian. Polyp extension is great, but the base color is more brown/tan than yellow.

I accidently received a number of specimens of this hardy photosynthetic gorgonian, some of which I will be selling soon. Polyp extension was complete within 24 to 48 hours after introduction.
