Turbo Snail (Turbo sp.)

I added some new Mexican Turbo Snails to the refugium a few months ago and they have really taken care of the Red Cotton Candy Algae. I kept two in the refugium and transferred one to the display tank with my other two Turbos.

Here's a super close-up of one of the turbo snails.

I added three of these snails to the tank to help control the algae. Although they are larger and more prone to knock things over than the Cerith or Nassarius snails, they eat a whole lot of algae.
