Redfin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rubripinnis)
+ November 26, 2009
Here's a picture of the new wrasse under the shade of a monticap. It's a bold fish and will approach me when I'm working
in the tank, but it seems to be afraid of my camera.

I have added another Redfin to the tank. Hopefully it will not be able to jump out with my improved egg-crate lid.

Unfortunately, both of these fishes have jumped out (one by one) over the past few months. The second jump prompted
me to redesign my egg-crate lids.

Both of these fish have grown considerably larger, I will try to get a picture of them soon.

The Redfin Fairy Wrasse is a fairly typical fairy wrasse. It grows to around 3", is carnivorous, and requires a sand-bed in
which to sleep at night or when disturbed. Care must be taken to prevent it from jumping out of the tank.
I actually purchased two of these fish on October 18, 2008 but have just gotten around to taking a picture of one of them.
The fish pictured is about 1" larger than the other one.
