Red Mangrove (Rhizophora mangle)

Because of my new 48" light fixture on the refugium, there is no longer any room for this mangrove to "stick out". I have removed and sold it locally.

I recently read Julian Sprung's article on keeping mangroves and decided to try one. I will be misting the air-exposed parts of the plant with freshwater occassionally.

Unfortunately, the leaves do not get as much light as I would like in the plant's current position and I will try to take some action to fix that in the future.
