Purple Plume Gorgonian (Muriceopsis flavida)

No growth with this gorgonian.

This gorgonian continues to do well but growth has slowed down.

This is one of the few gorgonians I have that has displayed observable growth. White tips at the end of the branches slowly become more and more purple and eventually polyps form.

This is a moderately difficult photosynthetic gorgonian that requires supplemental feeding for long-term health. It has a rough texture similar to the Orange Spiny Gorgonian.

It's polyps were extended fully within 24 hours of being introduced to the tank.
