Purple Bushy Gorgonian (Pseudopterogorgia sp.)
+ November 26, 2009
There hasn't been any necrosis on this gorgonian, but pretty much zero growth since I first placed it into the tank.
+ February 28, 2009
This gorgonian continues to fare well. However, there hasn't been any real growth.
+ December 18, 2008
There is a small growth on one of the branches of this gorgonian. I will be observing it in the coming days and may remove
the branch if neccessary.
+ November 27, 2008
This gorgonian kept getting knocked down by the Yellow Tang while it was on it's frag plug, so I ended up attaching it
directly to the rock-work.
+ October 25, 2008
The polyps appear fully extended now.
+ October 18, 2008
This was sold to me as a hardy photosynthetic gorgonian. The polyp expansion visible in the photo was after 24 hours in the
aquarium. Care requirements are similar to the
Purple Frilly Gorgonian.
This specimen doesn't look "bushy" just yet and I suspect that it has not fully acclimated. You can see some of the skin shedding
in the above picture; this is a normal behavior for most gorgonians.
