Purple Anthias (Pseudanthias tuka)

Unfortunately, both of these fish have perished. I was only able to find and remove one of the bodies though.
They had taken to eating Cyclops fairly readily but I suspect that I wasn't feeding them enough.

Another picture of one of the anthias. My camera isn't fast enough to get good pictures of these fish.

The Purple Anthias is among the more difficult anthias to keep largely due to it's refusal to eat anything but live food.
It reaches a maximum size of 5" and is a somewhat skittish species (especially when young). They can be kept in groups as
long as there is only one male.
I have added two females to the tank and they have already taken to eating Cyclops. Hopefully, one of them will become
a male in the coming weeks. Male Purple Anthias have a much more intense coloration.
