Kiwi Green Zoanthid (Zoanthidea sp.)

Unfortunately, this colony took a fairly rapid turn for the worse. All that remains of the polyps are small
white clumps covered in some sort of gel. Given the speed at which it perished and the fact that my other corals seem
unaffected, I suspect some kind of bacterial/protozoan infection.

The colony seems a little more settled in. The color is still a little light/faded.

Zoanthids are a generally hardy colonial coral. They are both photosynthetic and filter feeding. They eventually grow to form a
"sea-mat" covering the rock-work. When disturbed or stressed they can rectract into a pale bud.
I got this small frag of around 25 polyps for a good price. Right now they have light-green mouths and light-brown tentacles,
but hopefully they will color up in my tank.
