This monticap is doing well.

This coral remains a fast grower. I accidentally fragged a small piece of it and that is also doing well.

This monticap may look like it's only growing towards the right, but that's because I accidentally fragged it on the left
when I was moving some rocks around (to get my
Orange Spot Rabbitfish out of the tank).

This monticap is coloring up nicely.

Montipora capricornis (or "Monticaps") are among the hardiest of short-polyped-stony (SPS) corals available in the hobby.
However, they still require good lighting, excellent water conditions, moderate flow, and maintained calcium & alkalinity levels
to grow. They are sometimes referred to as "Vase" corals because of their unusual "cup-like" growth pattern.
I am fairly close to having a calcium reactor setup to provide this coral with adequate calcium and alkalinity levels. Monticaps
are generally hardy given sufficient lighting and water conditions, and I expect that this specimen will do well.
