Chaeto (Chaetomorpha sp.)

The chaeto has really taken off just a couple of weeks after introducing the chiller, although this may be a coincidence. I am now removing around 4 gallons of it every two weeks.

I moved the chaeto to the other side of the tank as the caulerpa kept shading it from the light. The clump has tripled in size over the months but it's growth is still not much compared to the caulerpa.

Seeing as my caulerpa is growing so well, I have decided to try a little chaetomorpha again.

The chaeto hasn't grown at all in the past few months despite my relative success with other macro-algae species. I have removed it from the tank to make way for other, more exciting macro-algaes.

The chaeto wasn't really affected by the tank crash although it has shrunk a little as compared to when it was in my previous system.
