Lighting

I have replaced the refugium lighting with this 24" 2x24 Watt Current USA Nova Extreme T5HO Fixture. This should provide
considerably more light. It's also a lot slimmer than the old fixture and so I can take it in and out
easier.

I'm using my old Sunlight Supply Tek 48", 4x54 Watt T5 fixture on the main tank. The bulbs are both Giessman: 2 x Aquablue and
2 x Actinic. The tank recieves a lot of supplemental light from nearby windows and I feel that this fixture will suffice. This
fixture consumes ~214 Watts of the ~315 Watts that my entire setup uses during the day.
In order to simulate a crude dawn and dusk period, I have the Aquablue lights on from 10:30AM to 10:30PM and the Actinic lights
on from 10:15AM to 10:45PM.
For the refugium lighting I am currently using a Coralife Aqualight 12", 2x18 Watt Power-Compact fixture. The bulbs are both
6500K. I will be upgrading the refugium lighting (to a 24" or 36" fixture) before adding any more macro-algae.
Because this is a display refugium, I have the lights on from 10:30AM to 10:30PM rather than on a reverse-photoperiod.
